When i stayed, the room had roaches/bugs on bathroom. Pictures were taken staff was friendly enough and immediately changed the room. After the change there were constant construction noises so room had to be changed again by the hotel’s staff which was very prompt.

Worst service received at a 4+ star hotel

I would like to start with the following actions of an individual are not a complete representation of the Intercontinental brand or IHG hotels in general. However the following incident left a horrible taste in my mouth, especially given the amount of money I had to pay per night to stay within a luxury hotel it is one of the WORST if not the worst experiences I have ever had at a 4+ star hotel.
On 31JUL23 me and my colleges were departing the hotel and coordinated with the concierge desk for a scheduled pick up of 3 individuals with 10 bags for 1215 to the Ritz Carlton. We asked what the price was and the concierge stepped away, made a call and came back and informed us it is 10,000 Chilean Pesos. Later that day we were checking out around 1210 and due to long lines our check out was delayed to 1218. At this time the driver who informed us his name was Tony stormed in and began talking to us how we are not ready, frantically pointing at his watch and obviously upset. When we eventually got our bags from storage and brought them to the vehicle he told us 10,000 is not enough and tried to start negotiating with us, we told him no we were told only 10,000 he in a very upsetting agreed, he started loading equipment whispering under his breath how everything is heavy, how he isn’t getting paid enough, slamming equipment into the vehicle. Then when we noticed those actions my group (3 people) decided that only one person, myself, will accompany the driver to deal with his consistent complaining and the other two people would walk a kilometer instead of dealing with him. When we informed him that only one person would be accompanying him he immediately blurted… well who is going to pay then… I told him that he will get paid as soon as we get to our destination to which he rolled his eyes. After slamming all the doors we started to drive to the Ritz Carlton. He was speeding and driving extremely aggressively the entire 6 min drive obviously upset. Upon arrival at the hotel, he opened the vehicle to which he helped with a couple containers but I made sure I pulled out the heavy containers myself to limit his complaining. After all bags were removed from the vehicle I paid him 10,000 as promised to which he threw his hands in the air and said “this is ridiculous, this is supposed to be the tip not the cost for the drive, someone gave you the wrong price” elevating his voice, then I told him that was the agreed price he threw his hands in the air yelling “this is peanuts” slamming vehicle doors while repeating himself in front of the hotel.
A horribly unprofessional experience despite paying over $200 a night.

Nice hotel in a good location. Staff is very kind and thoughtful.
The internet is the worst. I couldn’t even work from my room. I had to use my celphone data and paid a lot for Data roaming.
Don’t stay if internetconnection is essential for you.
The bathroom is awful. It has a nice design, but the shower area doesn’t have any isolation from the dry area and the water spills all over the bathroom.
One of the worst experiences among the IGH hotels I’ve stayed.

Right in the hub of downtown Santiago, this hotel was ideal for us for many reasons. The service was friendly and quick, the food in the main Italian restaurant was exceptional and our room was bright and welcoming. The bed was comfortable and deep but the air conditioning was not working so we had sleepless nights topped with jet lag. The walls were paper thin so we also heard our neighbours constantly as if they were in the same room. Generally it was a great experience and I would go back provided my aircon was working and I had a sound proof room.

I was expecting more. The room was spacious, great bed but in general everything looked outdated. The staff is friendly and responsive.

Elegí una escapada de tres días a Santiago con mi mujer para festejar nuestro aniversario. La pasamos super bien en el hotel, nos trataron muy bien y pudimos descansar y disfrutar de las instalaciones!!!

The internet is the worst. I couldn’t even work from my room. I had to use my celphone data and paid a lot for Data roaming.
