Best hotel in Rochester

Stayed at a lot hotels through the days. We have stayed at a bunch in Rochester coming to mayo. Hands down the best one we have stayed in there or anywhere else. The whole hotel is just always clean. The parking garage is hard to beat. Especially in a Minnesota winter.

Such a refreshing spin on a hotel stay. I loved it from the minute I walked it (after I figured out parking:)).
The room is perfect, fresh and clean. Good location to anything you need.
The on-site restaurant was great and the complimentary breakfast is one of the best I’ve seen for IHG!

Thank you for an excellent stay! From the two employees who I had interaction w/ to the clean new room. Not to mention the well worth taste breakfast & service. the hotel was aesthetically pleasing & enjoyable.

Usually have no issues with this hotel. On this particular stay I elected to use rewards points + cash but was charged my rewards balance plus an additional random amount. Word to the wise, either use ALL rewards or pay the full price.

Have never stayed at an Even but will look for them in the future. Very well kept property, nice bar, and friendly staff. Rooms have nice amenities and are very comfortable. Thanks for a great experience.

This used to be my go to hotel when going to Mayo for a doctors appointment my recent last day it was not pleasant. We now have to pay for parking when most of the time there’s no room for parking in the under garage. My room smelled awful. My room wasn’t clean. The staff wasn’t as friendly the list goes on.

First, let me start by saying this hotel is gorgeous. The property is clean and well kept. Easy access to Mayo with shuttle transportation but like many other hotels, they also offer transportation. The hotel does not have microwaves. It’s loud with events and baseball teams. Although this is nice, it’s not catered to someone who is a Mayo patient and staff does not care. I paid for the parking package and was in and out of the garage on many occasions with the code saying free pass ;). Now why did I pay $15 a day to park? That’s a rip off!

I’m a return visitor and I always look forward to my stay. I have high expectations based on prior visits and they are always exceeded. Friendly, upbeat staff, beautiful and inviting common areas, squeaky clean rooms. Everything was perfect! We enjoyed the hot tub this visit and look forward to coming back to use the courtyard area when the weather is better. The beds were so comfortable and the bathrooms had all the amenities you need. Also, the parking ramp is very convenient and so clean and safe! Highly recommend this hotel.

The front desk was so accommodating and kind. I appreciate cheerful workers who take pride in their job. They contributed to making our stay so enjoyable.
Parking Woes

Arrived at 9:00 pm and hotel parking was full. Had to park about 1/2 mile away in an outdoor parking lot and take a shuttle back. In the morning the front desk said that there was no one to bring me to my vehicle!?! Disappointed and didn’t have time for this as wasn’t expecting this hurdle before my son’s surgery. Didn’t get to eat my breakfast, that I paid for, as I had to spend time getting to my vehicle.
False marketing. Website states:
“Parking is available
All parking is located in the parking garage under the hotel. All guests that choose to park at the hotel assume full responsibility for their car, damages, and loss.”
Front desk said there are so few parking spots vs the number of hotel rooms.

We didn't have an issue with the room
The issue started with reservation. . I wanted to extend my stay from the 13th of April till the 15 th of April.
She said she couldn't guarantee the room rate or the same room . Which I get . The rate stayed the same as well as the room .
I rented the room for my Sister in-laws because her husband was having Surgery.
My sister in-laws then had t stay 3 days extra . So she had them days put on her card .
She asked me to call the hotel because she wasn't sure they understood what she wanted .
I did explained the change with front desk .
They had it all figured out .
However my card was overcharge 592.22 dollars. I called the front desk and told them about the mix up . am was again told it was taken care of .
Well it wasn't .
I did speak with one of the Management team . He said he did a refund of the 592.22 dollars.
I should see those fall my account . Perfect Not turns out they can charge you the same day but it takes 5 to 10 business days for refund.
Then I was told because we decided to split the costs it was my fault for the mix up . which I said I booked the room for 8 days .
She booked the room for 3 days. We didn't split anything . You didn't book her stay correctly. I not sure how that is my fault . He said he totally understood my frustration but he could not do anything about speeding up the refund.
So just and FYI. Watch your charges they come out in 1 day refunds take 5 to 10 business day.
Terrible Parking Situation

The hotel itself is very nice. I was very please with it. However, there is limited parking available. When we checked in, we paid for the underground parking ramp. When we went in, there were no parking spots available. I went back to the front desk to see what to do. Their response was to see if there was street parking behind the ramp(there wasn't) or to go down to a residential street and park there. The residential street was almost 2 blocks from the hotel. Not a huge distance but it was 11 pm at night, and this was the last thing I wanted to be dealing with at that time of night. Luckily, my teenage daughter was with me so I was able to unload the luggage and leave with her before looking for parking. There are so many scenarios in which this would not have worked...young kids, elderly, traveling alone, injuries, bad weather, etc. Based on this issue, I would not recommend and would never stay there again.
