I am a Silver IHG member. I know not high, but was Gold at one time. The Intercontinental Hotel at the Msp Airport is a wonderful hotel! Modern, clean, wonderful staff! The best part is the convenience of having this facility on the airport property! So convenient!
I absolutely love staying there!
My problem is that because I used points/cash the hotel could not send me a receipt that shows how muck cash I used! You see, I need a receipt to reconcile my business expense reports! Now I called the hotel directly and they referred me to IHG. I contacted IHG on 01July and they sent a receipt that was blank.
Now I have nowhere to turn! Is it this difficult to get a receipt? Next time I overnight am I going to have to use another property (prefer not to) in order to satisfy my business demands?
Come on Intercontinental/IHG help a guy out! I don’t want to leave for a piece of paper with numbers on it!
Unusual disappointment

I am sorry to say that I was really disappointed with the service during my stay - and usually this IHG is one of my favorite places to stay.
I asked, upon check in, if the front desk could put me in a room with a fantastic view of the runway (a favorite for my visiting nieces). The staff told me all rooms have that view, without paying much attention. When I got to my room, I was toward the end of the runway, meaning only a few planes were in view, rather than an expansive runway view.
Also, I was disappointed at the lack of attention to shuttle services - I signed up for a specific time the night before, only to come downstairs in the morning to learn the times were shifted because 1 driver was working that day. The front desk staff was unattentive to me waiting, chatting with one another, and unconcerned about my stress level. The wait was only about 10 minutes but a simple phone call earlier in the morning would have resulted in me coming downstairs to check out a few minutes earlier.
Finally, my room was not cleaned despite the room being empty for 12 hours during the day.
I rarely write a negative review and this is truly one of my favorite places to stay, so I’m extra disappointed by my 2 nights at the hotel. This was unusual for what is normally a friendly, intuitive staff.

Hi there - we got in at 2am from a late flight at MSP. At 8am housekeeping tried to come in and clean the room. Why would they do that? There was definitely a lack of communication on your part. This left us with about 5 hours of sleep. :-(

This hotel is beautiful and has it all. But, for the price of it I was really disappointed the security wasn’t available/open to get back into the airport. Have a shuttle available worked but takes away from hotel airport convenience.
The room is beautiful. So clean! The view of big planes right outside the window is pretty cool to watch!

Checked in for a quick overnight stay primarily because it is attached to the Minneapolis airport. Recognized immediately as Diamond by late night reception clerk. The entire property and staff were excellent and I particularly want to commend the staff working in the dining room during breakfast. I personally recommend the delicious omelette that’s on the menu. It was served piping hot and full of flavor.

This was my first time staying at the airport hotel. It was a bit confusing when trying to figure out where to go and where to park.
As soon as I pulled up at the hotel, one of the staff members, Amondo, waved and greeted me. I had no idea where to go. Amondo and KB (Katealyis) took the time to answer all my questions, explained where I needed to park, and the process for getting a ride to the airport in the morning and back to the hotel upon my return.
They were extremely friendly and sincere. I would stay again just because of this and the rapport they provided.
When I checked in, Aaron was great. He quickly check me in and made the process easy.
Now to the details of the hotel. Beyond gorgeous hotel. My room was beautiful. I never heard any planes flying in or out, but could see Delta planes out my window. Very neat!
I ate at the restaurant at the hotel, very good food and the staff there was also great.
I highly recommend this place.

This property was one of the best stays my wife and I have every experienced. Emily at the front desk was the greatest. Even though we were in town for a funeral she made it feel like a mini vacation. Emily and the staff were super friendly and very helpful. When i booked it I thought it may be loud at the airport but it wasn't. I still had to have the fan on for some noise. The suite was incredible, room service was great, and the food outstanding. The convenience for a flying travel was so easy. I will stay here every time I come to town.

We were staying for a funeral and this hotel and staff made it feel like a mini vacation. Emily was magnificent and extremely accommodating. Since our funeral was at Fort Snelling we couldn't have stayed any closer. She was able to get us in our room a little earlier which made it so nice to travel off the plane and then get changed before the service. Our room was excellent, and my only worry was that it would be loud, but the only time we heard an airplane was when they parked the planes and had the jets directly pointed at our room, but that was only for a few seconds. We never heard a plane land or take off and the view was stunning. We had room service which was easy and quick and the food was great. Getting back to the airport in the early morning was so easy I don't think I would ever visit Minneapolis again without staying at this property. Thanks again Emily and Staff for making this a wonderful stay!!

I reserved a room here on 7/29 and had an unpleasant experience. After contacting IHG COO, the hotel manager and an IHG senior executive contacted me. Bottom Line, they apologized for the experience and committed to make it right. Hotel manager offered me a complimentary stay at the hotel, including New Year's Eve if that's the day I wanted.
Being a senior executive myself, I appreciate when the customer's experience really matters and the organization can walk their talk. IHG walks their talk and is committed to have their customers' experience be exceptional.
I look forward to my complimentary stay and will be writing about it.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel before flying at the airport in the morning. The shuttle was very convenient and the driver helped with our bags which was very nice. Front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms were very nice and exceeded our expectations!
Poor Checkin & Deposit Experience

Upon trying to check in the hotels debit/merchant account was enduring technical difficulties, each card we gave debit or credit all were declined, we eventually had to give $100 cash and upon getting to our room we discovered that the hotel took a total of $500 from all our cards (5 attempts) and upon checkout we informed them of this and Ken (finance director) confirmed all $500 card deposits were on our account and he was appalled we were given a room under the circumstances and that they never accept cash, this hotel just verbally told us that their inability to do a card deposit, was actually our fault and we shouldn’t have ever been given a room.
I highly don’t recommend anyone visit this hotel if you can avoid it due to hotel having issues with deposit holds and release of holds within a timely manner.
Decent Location, Questionable Service!

On May 19th, we returned from our trip and we waited over 20mins for pickup at Terminal 1 - Shuttle area, upon the driver arrival we asked why the long delay of pickup and he got defensive and claimed he was just here 10mins earlier, during our ride to the hotel the driver admitted he got the call to come back to Terminal 1 while he was in the restroom…
The driver didn’t look professional or have a decent appearance.
Upon asking about where valet vehicles are parked the driver claimed the parking garage or outside and upon returning to the hotel the front desk staff said valet vehicles are parked outside.
