We had a wonderful visit at this gorgeous resort with the help of the outstanding staff here. Quynh Anh from the Front Office, together with her manager Angela, helped us arrange the best accommodation, birthday dinners, and made other arrangements for our families during the entire stay. Quynh Anh’s professionalism and hard work was truly impressive. Hers and Angela’s attentiveness to details just makes us feel so welcomed and special. Dong and Thanh, as well as the beach staff, worked so hard organizing activities for our kids at beach and made sure we got all we needed while being there. Hieu (buggy driver), Danh (Barefoot), Thang (Citron), Ly (Long Bar) are also individuals that stands out in reaching customers’ satisfaction. Overall, our family had a memorial visit and many thanks to the staff!

We had a wonderful holiday. The location was great and the staff were very welcoming. It was a very satisfying stay. In particular, the pool staff, Mr. Tin,was very friendly and helpful. The lounge staff also went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, and it was a very fulfilling holiday. I was worried about dining at La Maison 1888 with a 10-year-old, but those concerns were quickly alleviated; my daughter still says she wished she had ordered a second beef entree! It was also a wonderful experience to see a rare mother and baby monkey (red-shanked)thanks to the nature tour guide. It was also very exciting to move around the site in a buggy. I was very satisfied with all the meals during my stay. The view from the non-la table at Citron was amazing.
We would definitely like to visit again!

As travel is a significant part of our lives, both for work and leisure, we show loyalty to various hotels worldwide. Yet, the Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort remains a special favorite of ours, where we return time after time. It holds a special place in our hearts, as we’ve celebrated many of our life's cherished moments there. What truly draws us back, however, are the remarkable people of Intercontinental Danang. Since our first visit in 2015, their standards have only risen. We've been fortunate to see the resort grow over the years and have met many wonderful individuals who have come and gone, and who remain dear to us. Like any meaningful relationship, we’ve had our ups and downs at the resort, but the team has always handled everything with professionalism and genuine care for our needs.
From day one, we knew Seif Hamdy was a remarkable individual when he served as the Director of Food and Beverage. Now, as the General Manager of the resort, he has impeccably maintained its world-class hotel standards. Seif is a conscientious leader who treats his guests with the utmost respect and understanding. The hotel team looks up to him and follows his guidance with deep respect.
Another cherished friend we've come to know is Ritchie Plaza, who holds the position of Director of Rooms among many other titles. Ritchie is a true champion, having kept in touch with us over the years and sharing personal stories of our journeys and lives. His graciousness and generosity towards his guests are unwavering.
We embarked on this trip with the excitement of experiencing something new – the newly designed Club Lounge. With its bright and refreshing modern colors, the new lounge is a delightful change. By October this year, the old club lounge will be transformed into a modern Japanese restaurant. Harry and his team have played a crucial role in making us feel warmly welcomed and ensuring we had everything we needed, as they have consistently done for the past nine years. We fondly remember some of our favorite former club lounge staff who have since advanced in their careers. Harry, too, has a promising future ahead with the support of the resort’s senior management.
I wanted to take a moment to commend the new team members we had the pleasure of meeting on this recent visit. We were particularly impressed with Ly Pham from the Long Bar. She was bubbly, very friendly, and always attentive, frequently checking if we needed more drinks or food. Her positive energy was truly delightful.
We were truly impressed by Barefoot, especially with the exceptional cuisine prepared by Chef Thang Vo. His rendition of our all-time favorite pasta, Vongole spaghetti, was absolutely authentic, delivering perfect harmony between the Italian flavors of the clams and the sauce. We enjoyed this delightful dish at the Long Bar, thanks to Ly's assistance. This kind of personalized service and flexibility is what keeps us coming back to this wonderful hotel.
During our stay, we also had the pleasure of meeting Oliver Slaats, the Associate Director of Food and Beverage. I mentioned the hotel's remarkable flexibility to him and inquired about the absence of chicken wings on the menus. He graciously arranged for Chef Thang’s team to prepare a special chicken wing dish for us at the Saturday BBQ and Bonfire Night at Barefoot. Having waited nine years for a good wing dish at the resort, I can say it was well worth it! My heartfelt thanks to Chef Thang for the fantastic food, and to Kong, Stella, Alina, and the rest of the Barefoot team for making our dining experience so enjoyable.
However, not everything was perfect on this trip. Citron has let us down this time. We dined there twice, and both times were below expectations. Citron used to serve quality, authentic Vietnamese food, but this time was different. The Sunday brunch with live jazz initially excited us. Observing our ten-day Buddhist vegetarian calendar, we chose simple vegetarian dishes. While the seaweed with tofu soup was excellent, the other two dishes were disappointing and lacking imagination. The vegetarian fried rice was clumpy and crusty with frozen peas and carrots – a failure for a country with such fresh ingredients. The vegetarian egg noodle dish was equally uninspired, overly salty, and dominated by Maggie soy sauce. We gave Citron another try after Oliver requested it. Sadly, the second visit was also disappointing. Though the rest of our trip was fantastic with high praise for La Maison and Barefoot, the brunch singer quit after two songs, switching to instrumental music, further marring our experience. But, one bright spot was Hoa, our server. He was extremely kind and courteous, frequently checking on us. We appreciated his genuine nature and gratitude for our long-time patronage of the hotel. We also had Thomas come by and say hello. We’ve also known Thomas from the first trip we visited Citron.
We stayed in the spa villa on this trip, which was a unique and secluded experience, even prompting concern from the management. However, its seclusion was exactly what drew us to this incredible villa. We were amazed at the luxurious bath tub and our personal sauna and steam room—it truly was a spa paradise. We also enjoyed two wonderful couple’s massages by Hui and Uyen in the villa's massage room. The entire experience was unforgettable.
One thing we have always wanted to do while we're here is visit Danang town, but we never seem to get around to it because we are always so busy with activities at the resort. Although we're not particularly active, we truly value tranquility. Sometimes, less really is more. As we progress in life, we begin to see the importance of small things. In our younger years, we often strive towards financial or social goals, but ultimately, finding personal satisfaction is the most challenging part. Thank you for helping us find peace in the simplest things. Being able to honor Buddha and make our daily offerings at the resort keeps us peaceful and makes the world feel safer.

Bed Bug bites ?

My family stayed at this resort for 3 nights and had 2 rooms booked for our stay. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves on the serene and beautiful lush grounds. Everyone we met like the servers, funicular operators, and grounds people were so friendly and attentive to our needs. We loved the expansive breakfast buffet spread as well as the meals we had at barefoot restaurant. However, my overall experience was tainted by the assistant manager’s unsympathetic and borderline dismissive attitude when i had reported that my wife and i had received a multitude of bug bites on our legs and arms during our stay (more would appear upon waking up each morning) that seemed to resemble bed bug bites. She had offered a $100 discount and 5000 points onto my IHG account for our troubles which in my opinion is hardly a fair compensation especially at a 6 star resort. I do hope they are able to take matters like this more seriously in the future since bed bug bites can really sour one’s holiday experience, especially if we end up taking home the infestation with us.

It is truly bizarre how much thought went into designing this resort. Every part of the hotel is essentially curated with cultural easter eggs and it feels spectacular living amongst it.
Amazing stay! The ladies at the concierge desk, were exceptional. The hotel amenities was amazing and the location was beautiful. Little piece of paradise in Vietnam.

Our visit to the intercon was more than amazing! From the moment we were picked up to the point of being dropped off, our experience was phenomenal! Our butler, Tiền, was more than proactive to ensure our needs were met and anticipated anything that may come up. Tùng really made our stay stress free. We also want to acknowledge Tiến that made our wedding photoshoot run seamlessly smooth. He even personally showed up on his day off to ensure our session had the best scene locations. Our photos came out beautiful because of him. Thank you to all of the staff at Intercontinental Đà Nẵng! You earned our heart and will definitely come back!
