What an experience, superb.
Very expensive car parking, 51 dollars per night, car parking should be included for the prices paid. Was annoyed to be told the vallet car parking was the same price as parking, yet we then saw after paying it was actually only 40.00 dollars, this soon adds up.
The rooms are fantastic.
Great Stay - Can be pricey for only one night

Room - very simple, clean, and right by the water. Bed was very comfortable, we slept with balcony door open so we could hear waves all night.
Price - little spendy for only one night but still very much enjoyed it!
Amenities - huge patio to sit by the ocean. Pool is VERY SMALL! Like maybe a 3 foot by 10 foot strip along the back wall. But I would assume most people would go to the beach and not the pool.
Staff - VERY NICE AND POLITE! I was injured and I was asked on multiple occasions if there was anything they could do to help me. Even though there wasn’t I appreciated the offers!
Surrounding area - right at the beach and tons of shops outside the front door! Right down the street from the Monterey aquarium!
Overall - GREAT NIGHT OF REST during vacation

The attendant at the front desk was unbelievably rude. I casually asked whether I could be upgraded and he rudely said “we only have ocean fronts and those are far more expensive than the rate you are paying.” I saw the same guy fighting with other hotel guests throughout the weekend. Hotel was average at best for the price

I had a great experience here, staff recommended a great restaurant. Room was perfect, bed a cloud, and quiet, I asked to purchase upgrade but I was given a complementary upgrade based on my status and availability. I will stay here again soon.
I stayed here on my PCH road trip, if you’re looking for a good night sleep, this is a treat.

We were really disappointed with our stay here. Firstly the hotel website is misleading:
when you book a partial ocean view, it doesn’t say that some of these rooms overlook an amusement arcade and mall;
it says there is a pool (I booked this hotel because I love swimming). There are no photos of the pool on the website and now I know why - the pool is a tiny strip - wide enough for only one swimmer - not worth dipping a toe in.
Our check in experience was awful. All we wanted was a quiet room with a sea view, but it took 3 tries before we got to it.
We went up to our first room (noisy arcade view), and as I had been offered an upgrade ($100/night) as an IHG member, I asked at the reception if we could upgrade to an ocean view.
There were ocean view rooms available, but at an increase - $125 a night. I reluctantly agreed as we couldn’t have slept well in the first room for 3 nights.
The receptionist did not offer us one of the other partial ocean view rooms which did not have an arcade view - we were not made aware that these even existed.
So we moved rooms (nobody helped with our luggage). The 1st ocean view room had the noisiest hum from the bathroom fan you could imagine - like being on an airplane), and the bathroom lights were so dim you could barely see in there.
So… off we went back to reception, where we were offered a 2nd ocean view room. We went to check it out & it was quiet & the bathroom well lit. So we moved our luggage again (no assistance was offered) and settled in.
So it took 3 tries to get an ok room! Not great. No decent pool. We therefore stayed only 2 nights and not 3 as planned.
Please be clear on your website about rooms and views in future, and about your pool facilities. And please make sure your rooms are in full working order before you send your guests in.
If they have a problem, be sure to offer them all the options and not just fleece them for an upgrade. We left feeling it was bad value & that we wouldn’t recommend it at all.

Arrival and welcoming of staff was phenomenal. Big shoutout to Philip and the other GSA for Sunday afternoon (sorry couldn’t catch your name). Made me and family feel very welcomed. Always checked in on us when we would pass by the lobby.

The hotel and staff were fabulous! It was very conveniently located to the water, restaurants, bars and activities. Couldn’t have had a more beautiful experience!

Best front desk staff we have encountered in a long time. Knowledgable and friendly at all times. Always extended a greeting or nicety.
Fernando in housekeeping assisted us with red wine that we spilled by accident on the carpet. He always had a smile on his face.
The suite was spotless, and having two full bathrooms was great.
Most comfortable bed ever. Waking to the sunrise over Monterey Bay was incredible. The binoculars in the room were a nice touch. Having windows that opened allowed us to hear the sound of the waves. Highly recommend this property.

We celebrated our 30 th wedding anniversary at this hotel. Extremely disappointed with our room. We booked a partial ocean view with a balcony. The balcony was barely big enough to stand on and the ocean view was from across the street over the top of a restaurant. The shade in the room didn’t work when we got there and we also mentioned that our sink drain was draining properly, which never got fixed. At $1500 for two nights everything should be working properly. We will not be back.

I had a lovely stay. The staff was really the highlight. Especially in the restaurant. So attentive and incredibly friendly. My only disappointment was that I booked a patio room. I booked this thinking about how lovely it would be to sit out there and read and enjoy the sunshine. What is not disclosed is that those rooms back up to the parking garage. So it is a never-ending cacophony of horn beeps as cars are locked and unlocked and people honk at each other. All day and all night. It made for a long day and even longer night. I went for a restful weekend and ended up needing earplugs. Next time I will not book a room on that side.
