I booked 2 rooms for me and my family using points . I have been a loyal customer of IHG since our wedding in Intercontinental Singapore in 2015, so Inhave high expectation from IHG’s Hotels and Resorts. 1. First room , we were not provided with enough towels and toulletries for 3 people after asking the housekeeping/concierge. 2. There was only one people at the priority counter for elite members. 3. I was not allowed to enter Tiffany Bar due to my footwear (i changed and came back), but there was one guest with similar footwear , but was allowed entry. 4. At the check out counter, I was charged for mini bar drinks but my mother in law and wife said they never consumed anything from the mini bar. 5. We borrowed 4 adaptors , returned 3 to the counter , then one adaptor was left plugged inside the room, but i was still charged . After more than 20 mins of waiting they found the adaptor and could finally let us check out. 6. Welcome treats are pathetic, compared to other IHG hotels

Bad problem-solving staffs and bad room condition

Received a harbour suite as an upgrade but the facility was totally malfunctioning.
The toilet was broken and I asked for help. The first thing mechanics asked me is, “do you know how to use the toilet?”
the technician thought there are no problem with the toilet, and after he pushed the flush button for a very long time, the toilet was exploded that caused poop everywhere included my clothes. Also they put back the contaminated bathrobe back to the bathroom hanging on the wall.
I asked for changing room because the odour was too strong but was being rejected
Also, club staff forgot my order for nearly one hour in the morning, as well as the staff cleaned up my table with unfinished meal when I went to restroom for no more than two minutes.
Their solution is to upgrade me to the same room type as that the problem occurs this time.

This is my first time ever staying at an Intercontinental Hotel. It did not disappoint! The hotel was stylish and elegant. The front desk agent were every nice and helpful. I will be staying here every time I come to HK.

The quick check in was very helpful although the room upgrade to the harbor view room (338) was ok as it was a lower floor and I could hear the noise of the cars on the street. In overall, the room was spacious for a hotel in HK and the location was great for my work purpose.
It’s my first time to stay at the Intercontinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong and the experience is really great. I like the vibe, it is elegant and away from the busy streets of HK providing a more relaxed feel.
Our stay was even made special by a great staff, Ms. Trixie Casi at the lounge made us really feel taken cared of. She offered great breakfast recommendations like the Dimsum Basket and the noodle soup! She has excellent customer service skills and would always stop by our table to check if everything is okay.
We also had some time to check out Tiffany’s Bar at the hotel and we were assisted by Ms. Joan, she’s very courteous and provided great choices for our drinks.
The location is great, about 5 minutes to the MTR and there is also a shuttle service available to areas of interest.

Smelly with cockroaches

The walkway near the room smells putrid, really bad. And I had cockroaches in my bathroom.. worst experience with an IHG hotel!
The cleaners will know because I asked them to clean up. And the hotel front desk was informed

初めての香港旅行でこちらのホテルに滞在しました。アンバサダー特典で素敵なお部屋にアップグレードしていただき、100万ドルの夜景をゆったりと堪能することができました。ありがとうございます。
いつも海外ではカタコト英語で苦労するのですが、今回は日本人スタッフの落合さんのおかげで、安心して過ごすことができました。感謝です(^-^)
地下鉄の駅から少し離れていましたが、寝心地のよいベッドと美味しい朝食(エッグベネディクトと牛肉の麺と生搾りアップルジュースが特に)に癒されました。
次回の香港の旅でも利用させていただきたいと思います。
