Room cleanliness, mattress quality, staff responsiveness, room service, customer satisfaction, even there wasn’t a duty manager!! all need to be taken better care off

Very outdated rooms

I stayed 4x at this hotel in 2023. I am a patient at Cleveland Clinic. It’s hard to find anything close to the main campus aside from the Suites.

My last stay in August was definitely my worst stay in a suite sadly.

I had several issues with the toilet running and the sink draining very loud. There was a considerable amount of grime, w/finger prints, hand prints & just really not clean honestly. There were stains on the carpets, couch & chair in the bedroom.

Maintenance made it much worse when they came to fix things and they made bigger messes and got quite rude with me as well.

I felt like maybe I was being too sensitive, since I was having a really rough week with my doctor appts., procedures and tests.
I should have spoke up at the time but I honestly just didn’t have it in me.

I hope that my upcoming stay is much better because the hotel rates have doubled now as well.
I do hope that it is cleaner & a little more updated in March when I return. I will also be coming in April as well.

Cleveland Clinic Campus

Intercontinental Suites is an inviting place to stay. Comfortably rooms, good food and very convenient for appointments at the clinic!
Even though it is expensive the valet parking is so worth it to me.

Poor service and fruit flies everywhere

The bar service was poor and I had to move from the bar because of grout flies everywhere. They even followed me to the high top tables. For a InterContinental, a Hotel was dated. I was thoroughly disappointed. I could’ve stayed next-door at the Holiday Inn for cheaper.

Lovely hotel with hvac challenges

I stayed at this location due to its proximity to the Cleveland Clinic. The room was very nice, comfortable and well laid out. Room service was fast and tasty.

My frustrations were with the lack of cleanliness, there was a long brown hair on the back of one of the pillows. I lost all my hair from the chemo, so I’m certain it wasn’t mine.

The HVAC was similarly frustrating. I set the thermostat to be cooler and went to bed. Woke up overheated, and the room warmer than when I went to bed. I called down and they said the room won’t cool down, and I needed to open the window and wait for the room to cool down. To his credit, the man I spoke with was helpful despite it being 3am. I didn’t get much rest.

In town for an emergency operation for my wife. Was unfamiliar with the city and its RoadHighway net work and needed some advice on our departure which was during the severe weather outbreak that covered most of the nation especially the Northeast.

We were hesitant about our departure because of the severe weather and traffic reports but had a 10 hr drive ahead of us

The desk clerk, Josh Taylor went above and beyond his normal duty to assist us in setting up our Map app to assist us in getting out of town avoiding suspect roadways.

He was pleasant, courteous and professional in every way and his assistance made a very difficult circumstance much more tolerable.

Unfortunately, my wife may have need to visit the Cleveland clinic in the near future and when she does we look forward again staying at the Intercontinental on Euclid Drive.

A good Samaritan

Josh went above and beyond to help us in a very difficult situation.
He was working the front desk and was very professional, friendly and kind to everyone coming through the lobby. As we were checking out, the valet parking attendant told us our car would not start and that they needed to call someone to jump start the car. We were concerned that we would not find someone to help on Christmas Eve and might need to rent a car in order to pick up family members at the airport and get home. Josh was so thoughtful and empathetic and not only brought us hot chocolate as we waited in the lobby but drove his own car in the extremely icy cold weather to the parking garage, used his jumper cables to start the car and got us on our way. All with a smile. We were so touched by his kindness and consideration.

Josh is a rockstar and MADE this stay exceptional

Everyone at the front desk was exceptional. Always greeting me, offering assistance, and genuinely engaged. At check-in, I was greeted and helped by Josh. I’ve never been so impressed by a front desk experience (and I frequently take my family to Disney World properties for that exceptional guest experience)! Later in the evening I needed some information and Josh once again offered great insights and answers and was so helpful. The rooms were clean and nice, and the dining area was nice. The price seems a little high for the area compared to others in the area and one of the morning servers in the restaurant seemed less than enthusiastic to do her job, but the front desk and management team, bell staff, and valet staff were so exceptional, I can overlook these minor notes.
