This Planet Trekker Mobile Application (the “App”) is owned and operated by Six Continents Hotels, Inc. an Intercontinental Hotels Group company (“IHG”). In this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), we describe how we collect, use, and disclose information that we obtain about users of the App and the services available through this App (collectively, the “Services”). Use of this App is also subject to the Planet Trekker Terms of Use. 

This App is designed for use by children. However, IHG understands the importance of protecting privacy, in particular where children are concerned. Thus, we strictly limit the information we collect via this App. 

What Information Do We Collect and Why?
We will not ask for you or your child’s name, contact information, screen name, or other personal identifiers. In addition, we do not collect IP address, mobile device ID, or location information. 

We will collect the following information through the App:
• App ID – this identifier is unique to the particular user of the App, but it cannot be used to track users across apps, services, browsers, or websites. In other words, App ID identifies each user as a unique user, but is not used to track user activity outside of the App.
• Metrics and Usage Info – we also collect information about usage metrics (e.g., features used within the App), date and time stamp, length of time using app, error logs, and other user activity information (“Usage Metrics”).

Generally, we use App ID and Usage Metrics in order to (i) understand App usage and performance analytics, (ii) understand game performance and areas of crashing, (iii) improve game design, (iv) deploy updates, (v) analyze the functioning of the game and (vi) protect the security of the players. We also use this information to better understand how users access and use the Services, both on an aggregated and individualized basis, in order to improve our Services, and for other research and analytical purposes.

What About the Information My Child Stores or Uploads within the App?
Within the App, your child can take pictures, send voice notes, and add text descriptions about places they have visited or would like to visit (referred to as the “User Content”). This User Content is stored on the App, in the App’s document folder. User Content is not transmitted to, collected by, or otherwise viewed by IHG. In addition, the App does not permit users to share information via the App, or through third party websites or social networks. User Content remains within the App folder on your device. If the App is deleted, the User Content will be deleted as well. IHG will not receive or retain a copy of User Content.

How Do We Share Your Information?
We do not collect, store or share any of the User Content. We may share the App ID, Usage Metrics and other non-identifying information that we collect as follows:
• Affiliates. We may disclose the information we collect from you to our affiliates or subsidiaries.
• Partners. We may share certain analytics and usage information with our partners who co-sponsor this App.
• Service Providers. We may disclose the information we collect to third party vendors, service providers, contractors or agents who perform functions on our behalf. In addition, we may use certain services providers, such as mobile analytics providers, to collect information on our behalf.
• Business Transfers. If we are acquired by or merged with another company, if substantially all of our assets are transferred to another company, or as part of a bankruptcy proceeding, we may transfer the information we have collected from you to the other company.
• In Response to Legal Process. We may disclose the information we collect in order to comply with the law, a judicial proceeding, court order, or other legal process, such as in response to a subpoena.
• To Protect Us and Others. We also may disclose the information we collect where we believe it is necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the safety of any person, violations of our Terms of Use or this Policy, or as evidence in litigation in which IHG is involved.
• Aggregate and De-Identified Information. We may share aggregate information about usage with other third parties.

What About Tracking and Analytics?
We may use cookies and other tracking mechanisms to track Usage Metrics about your use of our App. We use Flurry analytics within the App to collect certain Usage Metrics. 

What About Marketing and Advertising?
We do not advertise within the App, nor do we use the information we collect through the App to advertise to users outside of the App. Further, we will not send marketing through the App.

What About Third-Party Links?
From time-to-time, our App may contain links to third-party websites. Any access to and use of such linked websites is not governed by this Policy, but instead is governed by the privacy policies of those third party websites. We are not responsible for the information practices of such third party websites.

What About the Child’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
IHG does not use this App to collect any personal information, as that term is defined under COPPA, from children or their parents. For more information about COPPA, visit the FTC’s COPPA webpage.

Security 
We have implemented safeguards to protect the information we collect from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Please be aware that despite our best efforts, no data security measures can guarantee 100% security. 

Control Over Your Child’s Information
As noted above, we do not collect any of the User Content stored within the App. You can view your child’s User Content by opening the App. If you wish to delete the User Content, you can delete specific content within the App. In addition, if you delete the App, this will delete the User Content. 

Cross-border Transfer of Personal Data
The information that we collect from you may be transferred to and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions, where it may be processed by staff who work for us, our affiliates, or our suppliers. These jurisdictions may not have an equivalent level of data protection laws as those in your jurisdiction. By allowing your child to use the App, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. IHG will take reasonable steps to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.
