When we arrived we were greeted with professional and friendly staff. Our room was very clean and quiet. Breakfast wasn’t fancy but they provided several choices. Fresh fruit, cereal, warm breakfast biscuits and fresh brewed coffee. Plenty to get your day going. This was our second stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend Avid.
Dirty Sheets and Smelly Room

1st room they gave us had dirty sheets on both of the beds with hair and stains. The front desk came to the room, saw the stains/hair, and moved us to another room. The second room had a terrible odor unlike anything I have ever smelled. We left the next morning. I have stayed here several times the last few years. I will not stay here again

I would like to state that out of all the hotels ive had to stay in, this is the best. my kittys are welcome with me, the staff is amazing, and the hotel general manager, Purav Patel, is the sweetest most generous man ive met running a hotel. He makes sure that everything is running smoothly and everything is on point. He makes sure if you have an issue or problem with anything he sits and discusses the situation with you with no problem. thank you Purav, Miranda, Maria, Sinji, Bobbie, CeCe, Carla, jessica. stephanie, and everyone else that works for Avid. thank you all and i recommend highly staying at this hotel. you guys make me feel welcome and like its a big family.

Usually we are very happy with our stay. This past weekend was not as pleasant. The comforter and sheets smelled awful and that smell transferred to our clothes. This visit was disappointing.
Please Be Cautious before staying here!!

We stayed here for one night this weekend and my daughter woke up with bed bug bites on her back which was verified by a certified Pest Control technician when we got home. I told the front desk and the manager before we left that we suspected it. Manager's response was sympathetic but said " we never find any". She didn't offer to look at my daughter or do anything. I called 3 days in a row when I got home to speak with the manager and each day was told, "something has come up and he couldn't make it in today, try back tomorrow." I explained the situation each time and they said because my son (who was trying to treat us) booked through Booking.com they could not reimburse him or help us - only the manager could and we can only contact him through email. We still have yet to speak with a manager who could help us. We have taken the expensive and necessary cautions at our home according to Pest control to make sure we don't carry them to our house. This has been very frustrating and unnecessarily expensive one night away. The charge for the hotel was way more than we have ever spent at any other IHG hotel and we are rewards members so we have stayed in quite a few. The breakfast was also less than desirable for IHG standards. Also, the breakfast was not acceptable. The egg sandwiches for breakfast had been sitting in the warmer too long and were rock hard. Very disappointed in the entire stay especially since it was our first Avid experience!!!!

I frequent this location because of the value and convenience. But I recommend this location because of the outstanding honesty and integrity of the staff. I left my brand new iPad in my room and their team contacted me immediately! If not for their sense of urgency, I would’ve been hundreds of miles away! Not to mention that the iPad was an early Father’s Day gift!

We stayed here for one night to avoid having to drive back from a wedding and we regret it! There was so much noise that you could hear from the room that was impossible to sleep.
The hotel is clean and nice but not worth it if you are looking for rest!

We were able to check in online for our one night stay and the keys were ready for us when we arrived at the front desk. The staff was very friendly and our room was very clean and comfortable. We have to return to the area in the near future and will definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay. I like that fact the swimming pool was clean and inviting and available my god- daughter enjoyed herself. I like the art-deco look very different. I would stay again. Only thing was in order to enjoy tv if you want to see Netflix or Hulu you had to use your phone and it mirrored what you view on your phone. It use to be that they had smart tv with Netflix, Hulu, Amazon on them use click and log in.

I made my reservation later in the day on Sunday, under my employee rate. (I was glad to see it was available) however I tried to call into the property for almost 6 hours and got put on hold every time and then just left there. Finally I got through as we were leaving Pennsylvania to head to Delaware. I verified my room would have two beds as I was traveling with 2 kids & my wife. It was confirmed I had two beds. 45 minutes before we arrived at the hotel they called to let me know they didn’t have a room either 2 beds I would get a king with a rollaway, which was not idea considering I stayed more than 1 night and the rooms are so compact there isn’t even room for a rollaway to be in there without it being a fire hazard.. anyways I took the room since we were already hours from home with no where else to go. However, the staff never one time offered me any service recovery, (I am an IHG EMPLOYEE for 10 years) I know how things work. There was also an issue with the box spring in 109 the bed is on a tilt and we left the hotel with stiff backs. Other than that everything was fine, sports teams in house make for a loud stay but coming from a holiday inn in Hershey pa, a majority of our business comes from the teams as well so I can’t complain about that!! Also, the lady at the desk, I did not see a name tag but she was there for most of our stay(double shifts) I believe, she was friendly and patient, and had her hands full! Kudos to her!
