Unexpected stay

My mother had to have emergency surgery at University of Iowa late in the day and so we had to book a room quickly. When we arrived, the front desk was so kind and welcoming in an obviously stressful and unplanned situation. The next day we asked about a hospital rate and while the front desk person was not able to grant it, she said she would forward to her manager. He called me later that day and gave us a refund for the difference. My mom has had to stay in Iowa city before for medical appointments and surgeries but we had never had the pleasure of staying here and now I will try to stay here every time! The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was also really good with lots of selections. One of the best hotel stays I’ve had in awhile.
Toilet Problems

We called Front desk and told them that the toilet did not flush they said they would be up as we went to the pool to swim. We came back to find the plunger outside the door. We proceeded to plunge ourselves, never having any luck and thus never having a toilet during our stay we had to go down to the hotel lobby for the restroom. Management claimed they would provide us points, which they did not and still have not four days later thus the negative review…

This is such a nice hotel and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Great workout area and full breakfast. The beds were amazing, so comfortable. It’s in a very convenient location too walking distance to restaurants. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love this place!
I needed a hotel at the last minute and was so pleasantly supplied by the quality of everything in the hotel, including the staff and the. Amenities. It is exactly the getaway that I needed and I was so pleasantly surprised.
The cozy bedding and hot showers were amazing. The fully stocked gourmet kitchen with the perfect dining setup. They had the best fitness center with all the equipment. The breakfast had everything you could ever want, insluding dispensingsilverware ....the front lounge area had the perfect seating areas that you could sink in all day or enjoy a nice breakfast. The hotel was nearby a shopp8ng mall with plenty of restaurants. I didn't get to try the pool but it looked inviting. This place thought of everything..there's just too much to list..check it out!
I'd never stayed at Staybridge suites before and I'm definitely putting them on my radar. !

Beautiful decor. Large lobby with plenty of seating. Room was bright and cute decor and very clean. The extra large space as very handy.

Great staff great hotel other than the room being dirty. These were obvious areas that would’ve just taken a couple extra seconds to clean. When you see dirty surfaces it really makes you wonder what the rest of the room is like that you cannot see. My preference has always been IHG due to the cleanliness which always helps someone sleep better .
