The other popular attraction in Clearwater is the beach. Located on a barrier island, Clearwater Beach is a 3-mile stretch of white sand that's backed by busy hotels and restaurants. In the evening, head to Pier 60 to enjoy the Sunsets at Pier 60 Daily Festival, which features street performers, artisans, crafters and, of course, that famous sunset.
When you're looking for a place to stay in Clearwater, you'll find plenty of options. If you want to splurge, consider one of the luxurious hotels situated directly on Clearwater Beach and just steps from the sand and water. If you'd rather stick to your budget, there are also several affordable hotels just a few miles inland.
If you're looking to fly into Clearwater, you can either arrive at St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport or Tampa International Airport. If you're driving, Florida State Road 60 runs directly through the city and to the beach.
