SAN FRANCISCO (June 22 , 2021) – Today, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants announced an exclusive partnership with top-rated scooter company Micro Kickboard, making Kimpton the first major hotel brand to offer children’s kick scooters at properties across the country. This new program featuring Kimpton-designed scooters is an extension of the brand’s popular bike loaning amenity and provides a unique family-friendly activity for guests traveling with children. This first-of-its-kind offering, launching on June 22, speaks to Kimpton’s thoughtful and outside the box approach to perks and amenities, including the brand’s beloved evening social hour and flexible pet policies.  

The Kimpton X Micro Kickboard scooters sport a custom design and color scheme developed by Kimpton’s own in-house design team, led by Ave Bradley, Kimpton’s Global SVP of Design & Creative Director. At participating hotels, scooters are available in two sizes, Micro Kickboard’s popular Mini Deluxe for children ages two to five and its Maxi Deluxe scooter for kids age five to 12, for complimentary use during their stay. Kimpton also provides both toddler and youth sized helmets from popular helmet supplier Nutcase to ensure children are both safe and stylish while they are scooting. Kimpton’s bespoke scooters are available for purchase on kimptonstyle.com for a limited time.
