Situated next to our beautiful Zocalo, the Cathedral of Puebla is one of the most important buildings of the historical center declared patrimony of humanity. Considered by the UNESCO as "Memory of the World" the Palafoxiana Library is now an invaluable part of the documentary heritage and history of Puebla for being one of the most important places to protect the written heritage of humanity.

Located inside of the premises of the ancient convent of Santa Rosa de Lima house of the historic gastronomy of Puebla is placed the Museum of Cultural Art of Puebla. You will be able to admire its beautiful patio covered in Talavera tiles and baked bricks, in addition to its impressive kitchen with artisanal creations typical of Puebla.

Founded in 1868 as an Augustinian convent was home of various art collections from the convents of Santa Catalina and Capuchinas. The Great Pyramid of Cholula or Tlachihualtepetl (The Hill Made by Hand) is the world's largest pyramid basamet with 450 m. per side. Is also the biggest pyramid in volume. Is 66 m. high (similar to the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan). On top of this magnificent pyramid you can visit the beautiful Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios and appreciate the beautiful view that this eclectic place offers.

Tonantzintla means "Place of our Little Mother". The decor inside the temple corresponds to the wonderful Indigenous Baroque. You can appreciate angels with feather crowns, flower garlands, eagle warrior costumes, fruits and plants. All this shows an unic mix of pre-Hispanic and Christian world.

The facade of the Temple is carved and painted in such way that looks like a beautiful altarpiece. The most remarkable of this work is its multi-colored dress of talavera tiles, made particularly for it. The interior is no less impressive: both the density and brilliance of elements are simply fascinating. San Francisco Acatepec Temple is the epitome of Talavera Baroque.

Located in Tecali or "House of Stone" It was one of the most important towns of the Tolteca-Chichimeca nobility. Given its importance, the Franciscans established their convent in 1540. In its majestic ruins you will be able to tour all dwellings and old niches, the main altar, the confessionals, its Renaissance columns and the great portico.

Popocatepetl (mountain that smokes) is an active volcano located in the territorial limits of the states of Puebla, Morelos and Mexico. It’s bound by the northern part to the extinct volcano of Iztaccihuatl (sleeping woman) through a mountain pass known as Paso de Cortes. Has an approximate age of 730 000 years. Its crater is 612 meters wide! and it's only 55 kilometers from the city of Puebla.
