There are museums and galleries galore in Vegas. Explore the Mob Museum, Discovery Children’s Museum, or the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art to immerse yourself in culture and history. The Neon Museum Las Vegas isn’t on the Strip, but is worth a visit nonetheless. Featuring the coolest signs in an outdoor setting since 1996, the Neon Museum sells out often so make sure to plan ahead and purchase tickets in advance.
Treat yourself to a massage or facial at one of the many world-class spas in the city. Or do a little shopping at Vegas’s high-end boutiques in hotels like the Shops at Crystals, the Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian, or Primm Mall, which features 127 murals
from artists around the world.
Celebrating something special? Take a gondola ride at the Venetian and float down the Grand Canal under the starry sky. Traveling with children? They’ll get a kick out of the Bellagio Fountains and the Mirage Volcano. If they’re into live performances or magic, book a show like Cirque du Soleil that everyone will love. Outdoor adventures, like hiking in Red Rock Canyon or a day trip to the Hoover Dam, are plentiful too.
Off the Beaten Path
Downtown Las Vegas, or Old Vegas, provides a completely different experience than the Strip and is equally as fun to visit. Wander down Fremont Street, known for live entertainment, vintage casinos, quirky bars, and more, and get a taste of what the city was originally like back in the early 20th century.
If you have a car, take a drive to Swiss artist Ugo Rondinone’s Seven Magic Mountains installation in Ivanpah Valley. This gorgeous art piece in the middle of the desert consists of colorful boulders stacked more than 30 feet high and is a truly breathtaking experience.
